Ohana - Hidden Beach, Aloguinsan Cebu - twice the fun

Ohana means family, and yes, they were my reason why I went to Hidden Beach in Aloguinsan Cebu. This is actually the second time I have visited the place, the first time was over a year ago with my wife (Click here).

My sister's birthday falls on a weekday and it's almost impossible for us to find time especially everyone's busy with work and school, so we decided to have it advanced and on a weekend.

Of course if we have the money we could have celebrated on a fancy restaurant, munching on heavily decorated Frittata with caviar or a costly Sushi. But, since the lack of it, we decided to go to our mom's place in Toledo City, bought few fish and squids to grill, a kilo of Pork Lechon, some fruits and a simple cake with a cute message that said "Happy birthday Pretty" and we had ourselves a simple yet catchy celebration.
The simple meal

Happy birthday Pretty!!!

Since Aloguinsan is just half an hour drive Toledo City and my sister have been wanting to visit the place, we've decided to celebrate her birthday in that beach.

Not much change in the resort except for some new huts/rooms and a new Php 15 entrance rate, the same laid-back and no-frills feeling is still there. I guess that's the reason why a lot of patrons wandered their way from afar just to visit this place. Well, that's what I like about the place too.

We still saw few starfish nearby and hermit crabs are still abundant in the place making it still a healthy environment for sea-animals. Which should be protected because of the increasing number of visitors.

Although my sister's celebration was just simple and the place was simple too, I guess which is true, what's important is the people that surrounds us during special days and the memory that we all shared is what matters most.

I've been saying I have a lot of favorites, and i just realized with all the fortune or the lack of it, what I like most is not a particular place I've visited or not a particular food I've tasted but whoever I shared it with, and mostly that's my Ohana (family).
